What is the Foursquare Gospel?
The term "Foursquare" stands for the four-fold ministry of
Jesus Christ as the Savior (Romans 10:9),
Baptizer with the Holy Spirit (Luke 3:16),
Healer (1Peter 2:24),
and Coming King (Acts 1:11).

"Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, and today and forever!"
Hebrews 13:8

The Holy Scriptures:
The Bible is God inspired (2Timothy 3: 16,17)

The Eternal Godhead:
God is Triune: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 13:14

The Fall of Man:
Man is created in the image of God but that by voluntary
disobedience fell from perfection, thereby imputing sinfulness to all
human beings (Romans 5:12)

The Plan of Salvation:
While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us, signing the pardon for
all who believe in Him (John 3:16; Romans 5:8)

Salvation through Grace:
We receive salvation when we come to God through faith in the
atoning work of Jesus on the cross; salvation is God’s gift to us
(Ephesians 2:8)

Repentance and Acceptance:
Upon sincere repentance and a whole-hearted acceptance of Christ,
we are justified before God (Romans 10:8, 1John 1:9)

The New Birth:
A very real change takes place in people who accept Christ as
Savior; believers allow Christ’s life to be lived through them
(2Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:20)

Daily Christian Life:
It is the will of God for believers to walk in progressive sanctification,
growing continuously in the faith (Hebrews 6:1)

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper:
Baptism by immersion is an outward sign of an inward work (Matthew
28:19, Romans 6:4). We commemorate the Lord’s Supper by the
symbolical use of bread and the fruit of the vine (1Corinthians 11:
24,25)

Baptism with the Holy Spirit:
Baptism with the Holy Spirit empowers believers and that the Holy
Spirit’s incoming follows the same pattern that is described in the
New Testament (Acts 2:4)

The Spirit Filled Life:
It is the will of God that we daily walk in the power of the Holy Spirit
(Ephesians 4:30-32)

The Gifts and Fruit of the Spirit:
The Holy Spirit has gifts to bestow upon Christians (1Corinthians 12:
1-11) and that we should show spiritual fruits as evidence of a Spirit-
filled life (Galatians 5:22-25)

Moderation:
People who follow Christ should avoid extremes of fanaticism and
pursue lives of balance and moderation; demonstrating gentleness
and patience (Philippians 4:5 KJV; Colossians 3:12,13)

Divine Healing:
Divine healing is the power of Christ to heal the sick in answer to the
prayer of faith (James 5:14-16)

The Second Coming of Christ:
The second coming of Christ is personal and imminent
(1Thessalonians 4:16,17; Titus 2:11-13)

Church Relationship:
Followers of Christ have a sacred duty to identify with the visible
church of Jesus Christ and should meet regularly with fellow
believers (Hebrews 10:24,25)

Civil Government:
Laws and ordinances c
ome from God’s ultimate authority and should
be upheld, except when they are in opposition to the revealed will of
God (Romans 13:1-5)

The Final Judgment:
Every person will one day stand before the judgment seat of Christ
to receive eternal life or death (Revelation 20:11-15; Hebrews 9:27;
2Corinthians 5:10)

Heaven:
Heaven is the glorious eternal home of born-again believers (John
14:1-3; Revelation 7:15-17)

Hell:
Hell is the place of eternal torment for all who reject Christ as Savior
(Revelation 10:10-15)

Evangelism:
The church’s primary responsibility is taking the gospel to the entire
world and making disciples (Mark 16:15; Matthew 28: 19-20)

Tithes and Offerings:
The method ordained of God for the support and spread of His
cause is giving tithes and offerings (Malachi 3:10; 2Corinthians 9:
7)

Experiencing God

“…In your presence is fullness of joy…” (Psalm 16:
11b NKJV).

Equipping the Saints

"He Himself gave some to be apostles, some
prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors
and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for
the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the
body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the
faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to
a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of
the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer
be children, tossed to and fro and carried about
with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of
men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful
plotting, but speaking the truth in love, may
grow up in all things into Him who is the Head –
Christ – from whom the whole body, joined and
knit together by what every joint supplies,
according to the effective working by which
every part does its share, causes growth of the
body for the edifying of itself in love.”
(Ephesians 4:11-16 NKJV).

“For as we have many members in one body, but
all the members do not have the same function,
so we being many, are one body in Christ, and
individually members of one another.  Having
then gifts differing according to the grace that
is given to us … ” (Romans 12:4-6a NKJV).

Empowering people

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit
has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses
to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and
Samaria, and to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8
NKJV).

“For our gospel did not come to you in word only,
but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit…” (1
Thessalonians 1:5)

Transforming our community
and our world

“Your kingdom come, Your will be done, On earth
as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10).

“Then the seventh angel sounded:  And there
were loud voices in heaven, saying, ‘The
kingdoms of this world have become the
kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He
shall reign
forever and ever” (Revelation 11:15).
OUR VISION

Making Disciples
“Go therefore and make disciples of all
the nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father, and of the Son, and of the
Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all
things that I have commanded you; and
lo, I am with you always, even to the of
the age.” Amen
(Matthew 28:19-20)

Showing Compassion
“For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I
was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was
a stranger and you took Me in; I was
naked and you
clothed Me; I was sick and you visited
Me; I was in prison
and you came  to Me.”
(Matthew 25: 35-36)

Healing the Whole Person
“And as you go, preach saying, ‘The
kingdom of heaven is at hand.’
“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise
the dead, cast out demons.
Freely you have received, freely  give.”
(Matthew 10:7-8)
OUR MISSION

Jesus said, “The first of all the
commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the
LORD our God, the LORD is one. And
you shall love the LORD your God with all
your heart, with all your soul, with all your
mind, and with
all your strength.’ This is the first
commandment.”
(Mark 12:29-30)

“And the second, like it is this: ‘You shall
love your neighbor as yourself.’
There is no other commandment greater
than these.”
(Mark 12:31)
