Church On The Rock Staff

 David Kilmer, our lead pastor, has a passion for the presence and power of the Holy Spirit and for the advancement of the kingdom of God in McKinleyville and in the Redwood North Coast Region of California. He encourages every person to come into healthy wholeness through Christ. He wants to help each one to experience personally the love and presence of Christ and to come into his or her own spiritual destiny and inheritance. He has a priority for equipping believers to do the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:11-16). He emphasizes building personal relationships and fellowship where visitors are welcomed to become a valued part of the church family. He prays and works for revival, and for our nation to return to God and the Judeo-Christian principles of our Founding Fathers. He has a heart for the nations so that “every tribe and tongue and people and nation” will be represented around the throne of God (Revelation 5:9-10). David has served as the pastor of The Church on the Rock since February of 2010.  

• An experienced Bible teacher, David has been an instructor in several Bible institutes, leadership and discipleship schools as well as for other local ministries in the area, specializing in both Old and New Testaments, Biblical Theology and Revival History.
• He received a B.A. degree in Art History from the University of California at Santa Barbara. 
• His salvation experience was in 1973 and call to ministry in 1975. 
• He has a Masters of Divinity degree and preaches and teaches the inerrant Bible, striving to bring understanding of the Scriptures while communicating the biggest picture possible of the nature of God.
• Pastor David and Elizabeth have two sons, both serving the Lord in the state of Washington.

 Charlie Caldwell, our assistant pastor, is a vital leader of our church.

• He is our main audio-visual and sound tech person.
• He has been with the Foursquare Church since 1987 working within the youth ministry program at Faith center, prior to God moving his family to the TCOTR church plant as Youth Pastor in 2000.
• He received staff pastor credentials in 2002, then became a US licensed Minister in 2016, and a recent Disaster Relief Chaplain 2023.
• He loves the Lord, is constantly looking for ways to make Him known, has a big heart for people, is committed to praying and serving God, the church family and our community. 
• He has been a Youth Pastor several times over many years and has a burden for families, children, and youth.
• He is heavily involved in our community working to develop recreational opportunities such as building skate parks, mountain bike trails, BMX tracks and disc golf parks as examples, encouraging local families and visitors to play outside in several local, regional community areas and cities.
• He is a Board Member of the McKinleyville Chamber of Commerce, McKinleyville Community Service District Parks and Recreation team, and President of Humboldt Skatepark Collective, a local 501c3 non-profit. 
• He is a trained member of Foursquare Disaster Relief in hopes to working with our local community to develop a team of local response church members.
• He, with his wife, Tianne, are part of the founding members of The Church on the Rock.
• Charlie and his wife have three grown sons and is retired from PG&E after 40 years of service.
